Supervisor Training Requirements
New Supervisor Mandated Training
The OAC requires new APS supervisors to complete the APS core courses, within the first two years of continuous employment.
Mandated Ongoing Supervisor Training
All APS supervisors must complete fifteen hours of ongoing training annually in areas relevant to the supervisor’s assigned APS duties. New APS supervisors would begin their annual training hours after the first two years of continuous employment with the agency as a supervisor.
Caseworker Training Requirements
Caseworker Mandated Core Training
The OAC requires new APS caseworkers to complete APS Core 2.0 within their first two years of continuous employment.
Caseworkers considered backup or on-call APS caseworkers may attend core training at the discretion of their supervisor.
Mandated Ongoing Caseworker Training
After completing the Core series in their first two years, caseworkers are required to attend 18 hours of annual training relevant to their APS duties.
