Assessors

Assessors are child protection workers who have specialized training in foster care and adoption and are responsible for performing duties and completing state forms related to adoption and foster care.

Assessors must be employed by, appointed by, or under contract with a court, public children services agency, private child placing agency, or private noncustodial agency. Please see OAC 5101:2-48-06 for more information on Assessor roles and responsibilities.

As an assessor you have access to a number of resources in the CAPS LMS Knowledge Bank.

  1. Log into CAPS LMS 
  2. Select Collaborate (tab at top of page)
  3. Select Knowledge Bank
  4. Toggle to Topics tab at top
  5. Select OUCCAS folder
  6. Select Trainees folder
  7. Select Assessors folder
